No Eyelids
A4 print, shown at Wooosh Gallery, July 2019, in loving memory of Fish (2014-2019).
This Wooosh was accompanied by a burial ceremony and a text-based eulogical work, as follows:

fish
little swimmer from my room, through clear glass I watched you zoom
to the surface, to the gravel - shortest swims your fins would travel.
you kept my company, you hid, all under dusty plastic lid,
kept me on the straight and narrow, through the deep and through the shallow,
in separate realms yet side by side, in flower pots we both could hide.
but now I have to swim alone,
and write Fish poems on my phone,
from the water, to the ground,
smallest friend, sleep safe and sound.
